On the Circle of Life the place of Gathering Information lies in the East. The East is the place that represents springtime, infancy and the morning when the sun rises and illuminates everything it touches with light and energy. A new day emerges. We can think of the morning time as a time to begin anew, to renew our commitment to life and our values and dreams. The East is a place of great opportunity to reunite our passion with our purpose. We breathe in openness and breathe out willingness.
On the Circle of Life we gather information through our life experiences. We may read books go to school, engage with our family, friends, and strangers. We may go to work, to the gym, to the dentist or to the post office. We may change diapers, change hair styles or even change our name. Simply going through our day with whatever attitude we choose provides an opportunity to explore and discover who we are and who we want to become. By the end of the day we have had much information offered to us through our experiences, planned or unplanned.
In a coaching session at this point on the circle we gather and explore ideas, beliefs, opinions that support or interfere with our forward motion. We uncover the preconceived notions we use to hold us back and keep us stuck. We notice what we complain about and how we speak to ourselves and to others. Our unfulfilled dreams goals and desires are illuminated. We honestly look at genuine accomplishments and honor our gifts and talents. Together we explore and discover what is possible.
Remember that the sun always shines; never “sleeps”… is always available to all our relatives somewhere on the Earth Mother.
